In this home the kitchen was the main space transformed, plus the living room and entry hall in the Mid-Century Modern style. The kitchen had a wall dividing it from the living room; this wall was knocked down and an island added overlooking the space. The cabinets were replaced with Ikea cabinets and the cabinet doors are from Semi-handmade. A waterfall island was installed, which is when the countertop material extends down the sides, creating a cascading effect. The floors were redone with an epoxy finish, which is a liquid component made of resin and hardener. Wood panels were applied on the walls in the entry hall and living room.
